I really enjoyed the book. I can't wait for the next one to come out. They are very action packed.

If you love to get lost in a story, then this is the right book for you. Being from the view of the main character makes you feel like you are there on the island. WELL DONE!!
I usually read non-fiction, 2 pages at a time, so it was uncharacteristic of me to read the last hundred pages in one sitting. I stuck out like a sore thumb to the kids and wife, sitting on the couch and reading in the middle of the day and that is saying a lot considering my normal reading habits. As the story develops the anticipation of a major twist gradually rises and in the end it does not disappoint. Throughout the book the co-authors share unique philosophies and outlooks on society and life in general that are worth a ponder. It was a great read and made me glad I got involved with the right kind of novel! Now, where's the sequel?
St. Croix is a captivating tale of life, adventure, faith, trust, and loyalty. The writing is excellent. The characters are well developed and intriguing. The author weaves the story through relatable experiences. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and was completely invested in the journey. The author captures the essences of the locations and the reader can feel transported to the specific locales. The themes of grief & loss, faith, and trust & loyalty run through the story. They are presented in very realistic and relatable ways. There is suspense and intrigue while remaining grounded in everyday life lived to the best of Jim's ability. The multifaceted talents of Jim, the main character, mirror our own creation. We are not just one thing, but have multiple talents and roles we play as do the characters. The human struggles, interpersonally and intrapersonally, are also mirrored with in conflict with nature. There are so many wonderful aspects to this book. It was a joy to read. I highly recommend it.
The book was very well written and kept my interest throughout the reading. I enjoyed the personality of the different characters and the surprise ending. I wanted to know more about what happens next. It was thought provoking because of the fact that in reality, this type of situation can happen even to persons who are aware of the evil and manipulation in the world by other people. I hope they write another book and make it a series.
