I read this book in a matter of hours, it was so good. It really exposes what goes on in our justice system.

A complete page-turner. This is a captivating, detailed personal account of a night of terror, exposing inadequacy in our justice system and a strong Christian faith to survive it all. Very well written.

A riveting true story… …gripping, full of suspense, very well-written…a hard-to-put-down factual account of a terrifying night in the lives of two upstanding, law-abiding, God-fearing citizens who displayed courage and levelheadedness in the face of fear and uncertainty. Kudos to the authors.

This is an excellent and inspirational must-read non-fictional book. The authors were able to make you feel that you were there with them going thru this dramatic set of events. It is well-written and very inspirational to see how they have dealt with this tragic event. I highly recommend reading Instead, by Grace: from dark to light for encouragement and enlightenment.

Wright and Edminson perfectly set the stage in the opening chapter describing the fear they experienced in the dark of night in what was the comfort of their home. They then went on to describe in perfect detail the trials, tribulations and joy they experienced in the year following their encounter. The disappointment illustrated in our often broken justice system was eye opening and frustrating. The peace they found in deep faith, prayer, giving back and love of family was at times emotional for the reader. In the end, this book is a testimony to having the strength to battle and survive events in life we never see coming.
