Truth-So Refreshing
Sunday, March 1, 2026 by Brave Knight Writers

Truth is so refreshing. Not the lop-sided, unresearched sort of truth. The thoroughly researched, not revised, and not politically correct, just correct.

Brave Knight Writers aren’t the only ones seeking hard after truth in such a time as this. Check out Zena Dell Lowe’s YouTube channel, The Storyteller’s Mission. She describes the realities exploited in propaganda, which is so prevalent now that the masses don’t even see it. They’ve been ‘educated’ to be unquestioning. So different from the original intent of liberal education.

Isaiah 58 tells us about true fasting. God likes to see our sincerity and commitment when we are seeking His truth, His way, His light.

Our second devotional will be available for purchase soon. Daily Devotions for Brave Knights: the belt of truth.

Truth holds all things together, just as the belt held the entire assemblage together for a knight or for one wearing the full armor of God.

If you don’t say something because you are against ‘talking politics’, but then a major event happens that changes the world—such as Charlie Kirk’s murder—and you still don’t talk about it, that’s speaking very loudly.

The largest Christian revival in our lifetime was sparked by the shock of Charlie’s assassination.  He was trying to have open conversation, open debate, and get to the truth of many matters.  Many churches had record attendance the week after Charlie’s death. Did your pastoral staff acknowledge that? Charlie’s memorial service was an incredible outpouring of the Holy Spirit, from many walks of life. Did your Christian friends acknowledge that?

Or did people take clips out of context to accuse Charlie Kirk of racism, misogyny, and bigotry? There are plenty of other clips to prove he was not guilty of any of those. But which did you see?

There’s a tendency in our culture to think through aspects of life using only two steps of thinking. Deep thinkers take it several steps more. Generations have been led through public schooling by those thinking without  examining an issue for God’s truth. When student teaching, I realized the sophomore American History book dedicated an entire unit to Civil Rights. There were three small paragraphs about the Korean War.  Aspects of history are misrepresented to make Americans and Christians in particular to look bad. This propaganda starts very early in elementary school, so parents need to talk early and often with their kids about the entire truth. They need to be truth-seekers themselves. Many probably grew up with a limited view of truth in their schooling. We’re all responsible for educating ourselves and our children and grandchildren. I grew up with serious political discussions at the dinner table nightly. I knew it was important to research these matters for myself by reading from a wide variety of sources. It set me apart from friends at a very young age. See Matt Walsh to get some of the unrevised truth about slavery, and about our American history. See Raymond Ibrahim to get the unrevised truth of the Crusades. Do you know what the word Crusades means? It derives from the cross, the ‘crus’ of Christ. The Crusades didn’t happen in a vacuum, as some modern historians would have you believe.

Classical education teaches people how to make connections to various sources when deliberating a scenario. See Hillsdale.edu online free classes for a start.

There’s a tendency in our culture to repeat an untruth loudly several times, as if that will make it true. After living through so much propaganda during Covid, we’ve grown weary of it. The truth is so refreshing. Looking for truth? You need to look for wise people, examining the issues to bring truth—God’s truth. Truth used as a means to sway the masses—what kind of truth is that? Pontius Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth?” Humans have been trying to discern this for a while.

I’m always a little shocked when meeting people I think are ‘educated’ Christians, only to find out they have never even heard of Daily Wire, Jordan Peterson, Dennis Prager, Matt Walsh, or Allie Beth Stuckey. Those sources do their best to give you God’s truth.

A very wise man I know often says, “The truth is the truth, no matter whether humans know it or not.”
